Four, melting identification (burning)
As a kind of thermoplastic engineering plastics, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) has very high relative molecular weight, very high viscoelasticity and almost zero flow rate in melting state. When we measure the flow rate of solution at 190℃ and 2.16kg load, other plastics are generally 0.03-30g/10min, but uHMWPE cannot be measured at this condition, even if the load is increased ten times, it is difficult to flow out of the nozzle of the instrument, so its molding process is pressing, not base or casting. This is also an important characteristic that distinguishes it from other plastics, so we can distinguish uHMWPE by simple heating judgment based on its characteristics. Just place the sample on a sheet of iron and keep heating it to melt, because uHMWPE basically doesn't flow, whereas other sheets will collapse and flow in all directions.
In short, through the comprehensive comparison and use of the above methods, the truth can also be distinguished without measuring tools.
