Application of UHMW-PE sheet on the dump ship(Part 1)

The material of UHMW-PE sheet has excellent advantages of wear resistance and self lubrication, low water absorption, no adhesion, light weight, so it is suitable as liner sheet for dump ship, which can effectively prevent the goods bending, greatly improving the efficiency of dis load the goods, so as to shorten the time, reduce the labor intensity ,and increase the economic benefit of management.

Storage of UHMW-PE sheet
The melting point of UHMW-PE sheet is low (137 degrees C), and it begins to soften at about 80 C. It is easy to be deformed and flammable. So when we find that the newly purchased UHMW-PE sheet is seriously warped and deformed, remedial measures are taken immediately. The UHMW-PE sheet is to be stacked flat, and the top is added to the plate, even if the sheet is processed in size, it will be kept in flat. The open fire is strictly prohibited in the storage room and the cabin, so as to prevent combustion and ensure safety.

The installation method of UHMW-PE board
A company generally uses bolts to cross the steel plate to connect the UHMW-PE sheet to the steel plate. However, due to the usage of perforated bolts, the steel plate is damaged in large area, the hull structure is damaged, and the workload of construction is large. The sealing materials at the bolts fail to meet the requirements, which results in the leakage of goods into the screw holes and the sheet dropped.
After the experiment, we studied the successful installation of a new method, namely the first stud welding work and aboard, and then the nut pressing UHMW-PE plate. Special adhesive are used between UHMW-PE plate each other, between UHMW-PE plate and steel plate, and between UHMW-PE plate and stud.
