UHMWPE Liner Sheet Installed on Granulation Machine

Di-ammonium workshop of one chemical plant, the temperature of granulation machine is 90-95 degree Celsius. In the past, they used rubber sheet as liners, but the service life of rubber sheet was only 6 months. As the temperature is too high, the rubber liners were easy to deform, damage and stick material. So the sizes and shapes of the productions were not round and symmetrical.

Then they installed UHMWPE liners manufactured by our factory ( Hongda Engineering Plastics Factory). The liners do not stick material or pilling, which also reducing the load of the equipments, saving power energy and reducing production cost. Also the sizes of products are symmetrical and shape are round.

Bellow we would like to calculate the cost here ( the unit is RMB, now the exchange rate is 6.3).

Material Cost:  Rubber liner sheet for one set is around 40,000, the service life is half a year, so need 80,000 a year. Need of 20 pcs of UHMWPE sheet as liners, and total cost is 54,000, so there will save 26,000.

Labor Cost: we calculate according 6 person group, 200 x 3D = 3600. So if UHMWPE liners will save 3600 labor cost.

Production Cost : we calculate according to specification of granulation machine3.6m X 6m. Install one set liners need to stop production line for 3 days, so there will be 3000 tons less production for 3 days.

We just calculate cost here for one year, the service life of our UHMWPE sheet is at least a year.

Seen from above we know that rubber liner sheet seems cheaper, but indeed it is not. As the labor cost and production cost caused will be higher.
