The blanking of UHMWPE sheet

Before blanking of the sheet, we need to calculate and compose. There should be gaps between two pieces of sheets to adapt the expanding with heat and contraction with cold. Drawing according to composition, and cut boards according to drawing. On the basis of the design requirements, the plate holes are perforated with a special drill, and the holes should be reserved in order to ensure that each plate can be fitted with the bolt through the hole.

Selection of adhesives

As mentioned above, because of the large coefficient of linear expansion of the UHMWPE plate, a certain gap should be reserved between the plate and the plate when the plate is installed, and the screw hole should be left out of the 4mm. All the gaps and lap joints must be sealed with the adhesive. According to ’Compilation of Technical Standards for Plastics Industry’, several kinds of adhesives were selected and the adhesive strength, sealing, elasticity, price, construction convenience and safety were considered. Finally, the multi purpose adhesive for adhesive PE, ABS and other plastics was determined.
