Which factors are effected on the roller specifications (1)
Selection of roller diameter
The diameter of the roller is only related to the width, speed and carrying capacity of the conveyor belts, but has nothing to do with the length and inclination of the conveyor. Someone think that the longer of the conveyor is and the larger the inclination angle is, the bigger the diameter of the idler is. But this is not correct.
Please clarify that: A. The relationship between the diameter of the roller and the width of belt. The diameter and length of the roller should be in line with the basic parameters and dimensions of the GB/T990-1991. B. The relationship between the diameter of the roller and the speed of the belt. When the belt speed is determined, the speed of the roller can not be too large. Under certain length of service life, the speed is large the service life is long, the speed is small the service life is long. But the diameter of the roller should not be too large, otherwise it will not be matched with the whole conveyor, and the initial investment cost will be high. In the belt conveyor design specification, it is stipulated that the speed of the roller should not exceed 600r/min.
